They walked down the forest trail together, paw in paw and free from the cares of their daily lives.
Back in school she had a paper to finish, notes to review and mid-terms coming up.
Back at work he had 3 different people to get back to, a mountain of paperwork and a customer whose payment was long overdue.
And yet here in the autumn-laced sunlight, between turning shades of green and brown, they had each other for this one quiet moment.
Thank God for Sundays.
