Betchya can't guess what film this was inspired by ~
Ok, basically my internet was cut off again and i found the movie tangled and decided to watch it while i drew a reference sheet. And then the lantern scene came up and, ta da inspiration :'D
Also dont kill me for my failed anthro skills OTL i couldn't look up ref with no internet so the only ref i had to hand was myself haha XD and i couldn't draw the picture in feral form as it wouldn't make sense. I did however have some wolf studies i used as ref which i used for help for the heads. Let's just say I'm so glad this is a bust shot haha XD
ALso SO MANY LANTERNS! haha i didn't want the sky to be completely filled with them but enough to get the idea of what was going on [= and~ i know i know, would've been cute if they kissed and shizz but i didn't for 2 reasons, #1 that would be wayyy to predictable XD they didn't in the movie so they're not in this picture. [although that would've been so cute if they did in the movie XD anyways~] and #2 because i dunno, wolves can't really kiss can they? i mean i guess cuz they're anthro i can get away with it but i dunno didn't seem right. Whether or not they kissed after this image remains to be see
Oh anyone got any tips on ripples and reflections? they look ok here but the vision isn't quite what i want it. Also this was the first picture where I payed some sort of attention to composition XD and~ NEW SHADING STYLE! well~ kindof, I'm experimenting atm. I also experimented with the lineart and colouring style as well [= made them more wolfy fluffy like. ok the pose for dark was going to be like lifting my chin up with his finger but his hand didn't look right to it turned into a fist, kindof thing. also YAY two types of lighting colours, not done that before either.
Ok about the text, I'm undecided about what looks better, in the reflection or~ behind the characters, it's easier to read behind the characters but draws the focus away but in the reflections is fits better but si harder to read. Also I imagined Dark saying that to me in this picture.
