I've been really enchanted by alpacas since I started researching them for the Alpackin project. They have such little feet and ridiculous faces, but they're so endearing! And that lovely fur... Can't get enough of alpaca fur.
What with buying a full meter of this gorgeous curly cream faux fur for the alpackins the temptation to make a full poseable alpaca was just too strong.
Canca the alpaca has a plastic ball and socket armature with wire ankles to increase the range of motion. His face is a resin cast of an original fimo sculpt, his feet are fimo and he has been airbrushed with acrylics and varnished. His ears are wool felt coloured with chalks and his fur is synthetic.
Canca would make a great gift for the aspiring smallholder in your life or even someone who has the real deal! Real alpacas are expensive and need things like food and space, Canca will sit humbly on your desk and never needs to be fed.
He measures approximately 10" from feet to head when standing, 8" from chest to tail tip and 4" from shoulder to shoulder.
