Tommy and his friends have to help dig V-town, one of the last bastions of civilization, back out from under the rubble.
Everyone has plans for Tommy. Some see him as a saviour, others a pawn, others nothing more than a spoiled brat. He's going to have to bring everyone to the table if they hope to survive.

This scene with Griss reminded me of one time with my Dad. He had retired and helped me build my house.
He had done a lot of home repairs but he had never worked as a carpenter. The day I had to tell him in no uncertain terms that I the mortgage was in my name and I was in charge of the build was very difficult. The rest of the day was very quiet and the next day it was like nothing ever happened.
