*Shrug* Pinkie's always functioned on "Rule of Funny" and cartoon physics. As long as it's funnier that he be able to hold a heavyweight like her by her tail, it'll work. If it becomes funnier for him to drop her on his foot, her tail will slip through his fingers. That's my guess anyway.
