*waves* Forgot to mention in last pic that next would be up right now :p derp. ah well.
So this is just a continuation up adding more worked clay to the piece in ares that I feel need it. As well if ya look in the top pic I also increased the height of the carousel base by about an inch. I found there was too much play in the pole which was compounding the tail heavy prob. You need to be able to adapt doing sculpting if you want to be able to get your image out. Believe me sometimes ya gotta be creative to pull off an idea. So increasing the carousel size is my first attempt. Let's see what happens *snickers*
Once I've given the piece a once over adding clay where I feel I'm left with the top pic ^ ^ I know full well he's not perfect yet but my goals only closer. with each round of adding clay I just want to get closer to my end goal, that's it. I'm a patient fox thing, it'll take as many rounds as it needs but with each round i get closer and more n more areas I'll like and stop adding to, as well as additions themselves become rather small, slight adjustments really.
Once the adding stage is done i again pull out my smoothing tools and smooth out every edge so it meshes with where it joined. Also I forgot to mention that the smoothing tools aren't perfect but the reason it looks so smooth so I use my fingerprints as tiny sheets of fine sand paper, helps for joining edges. You'll get the hang of it but pressed just right your finger tips are great tools.
I just want to point out again that's just a temp head for weight to help balance the piece till the real heads made.
Next up... Paused for reconfiguration surgery!!! dun dun dun!
