mmhm! i personally stick to using cool tones to shade

i dont recommend using straight up grey or whatever to shade, ive found from my personal experiences that it sucks the life out of the drawings colors, so using toned shading works

try some blues and violets?

when i was like 13 i didn't even set the shading layer to multiply or nothing. jsut. straight up grey layer w/ opacity changes. i didnt know how to do the thing ehhe
