Florida Applesnail

Florida applesnails (Pomacea paludosa). This species is the largest freshwater gastropod native to North America. The indigenous distribution of this snail is central and southern Florida, Cuba and Hispaniola. They’re a tropical species, and can survive in water bodies that dry out during the dry season. They have both gills and lungs.
I found them in a pond behind Nick’s dad’s apartment. The largest one’s body is at least 3" when fully extended. I really hope they last in the setup I have, I’ve read up about their care for days… I just adore them ;u; Last photo is just a random small snail found after a rain.
