The dreaded German Tiger Tank the heaviest tank of World War II its 88mm main gun could tear apart any tank the allies had the saving grace was that while powerful they needed high maintenance as well as a lot of fuel American and British air power destroyed most of them in battle others were simply over whelmed by the numbers of American and soviet tanks fielded against them. They only way Allied tanks could take out a Tiger was to either take out the treads, or hit the small sweet spot where the turret meets the base any place else and the shell would do just minimal damage due to the Tiger's thick armor plating. Very few survive today out side of private collections so this is a nice pic.

Wo zum henker steht so ein Museum? Also in NRW ist mir nicht bekannt das es ein Panzermuseum gibt,wohne da. War bisher nur einmal im Museum für Kriegsflugzeuge in Berlin. Auf irgendeinem alten Airport oder Stützpunkt.

Ah, the FrankenTiger. Great job on taking this photo! Just like Frankenstein, the FrankenTiger was made from soon to be scrapped/ destroyed Tigers in European scrapyards. Would love to visit Munster someday.
