I wanted there to be as much cultural diversity in Amarthia as in the real world, so I put a bit of thought into the nomadic society of the Soketh.
Unlike most western civilizations there are no laws among the Soketh against polygamy, in fact multiple wives are encouraged because a clans strength and survival often depends on the family unit. Zed treasures his wives and the children they have born him more than anything, which is why being away from them and traveling the world with Mohan and his team is often very hard on him.
On the left is Rebeca (honey badger), his first wife and thus the matriarch of his family. On the right is his second wife Ashya (ferret badger), still full of youthful fire. Between them they have raised five children; Nada, Hakim, Eve, Luke and Pellia.
