Quick question: Are her eyes and spots actual light sources?

Yes they are.

Ah! Well, still love the image. The feel of an image is the most important thing. :) But one thing I'd note for technical details is that while the spots and eyes look like they're glowing, they're not affecting the shadows on her. You have, for instance, the 'shadowed' part of the arm directly facing the spots, which should be putting little areas of glow on it. But that's just a little technical aspect, the piece still looks awesome. :)

To be honest, there are a LOT of points of light on her body, some more subdued than others. Putting normal shading on a character like this: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/10611696/ is going to be difficult.

Yeah, you're not wrong. That's a challenging character to do the light on.

And about her markings, they should resemble gas-flames, which is not an easy effect.

He always seems to pull through, even with difficult designs. Look for Aeresa in his list. That's another one of mine that posed a challenge.

You did a great job on this one, DeD. She seems to have quite a lovable personality showing here.
