Eight choose to what?
Hex refined his genetic splicer, and decided he needed to be fair to everyone. (Well, except for Leslie and the Keeper which, besides being less exciting subjects, would have led to 45 total fusions. yuck.)
28 new characters. All 100% canon. Expect to see them each in their own 600-page epic about the two-brained internal conflict and struggles of being a lab experiment trying to find their place in society.
These are in no particular order, but here's an alternate arrangement which, while clearer, is also cumbersome and huge:

How many people would be interested in commissions of this sort? Individually they're quick and easy. "Five dollar fusions", they'd be.

Zeefly : Aww, still tormented by inner turmoil, despite the superpower buff...
Furatocard? : The dark side of splicing rears its ugly head! :P
Bartlfly : "...line?"
Furatofly : He specializes in import/export.
Hexy : Probably the most normal of the bunch :V
FZ : Such an unstable mix, it sure would be interesting to watch his inner conflict.
Rainfrog : He feels delicious and isn't sure if that's good or bad :P
Frogtopus : Wildcard, the even less clothed edition :P
Frogato : Hehe, he's so enthusiastic. Furato with legs! Possibly my favourite of the bunch. :D
Hexafly : DANCE YOU CRAZY FOOL! :D
Slookimaeus : Logophile :V
Rainslook : Poor Rainslook, doomed to have constantly wet fur.
HZ : Hexadoodle took the long route to aquiring clothes
Slookato : A high-maintenance pet!
Hexaditidoodle : He's approaching dangerous levels of meta! :P
Bartzy : Bart's mother is hard to please... :B
Slookard : Aww, too big :P
Wildhex : His head reminds me of a diamond ring
Wildzy : Hahaha, RZ's clones just can't catch a break :P
Slookadoodle : Another contender for favourite. Slook turbocharged! An energetic dynamo of activity :D
Bartaditidom : He looks like one straw away from turning supervillain... XD
Wildfly : Obviously 10 arms is the only solution!
The Flying Frog : An impressively-sassy mix! I'd like to see him fly with those wings :P
SZ : The only one able to beat Wildhex at games
Bartato : The ladies man :V
Wildimaeus : Those rainbow armwingy things sure look interesting!. I'll bet he's the kind of artist who does performance pieces :P
Hexato : His indignant whining is so adorable! I get the impression he'd be an amusing foil to anyone doing science.
I imagine Hex having an Aperture Science-esque facility where he stashes all these poor clones when he's bored of them :V
As an avid addict of merges, I'd be very interested in more of this sort of hijinks :D The only difficult part would be finding pairs of characters to splice...
