the only negative is A) out of the box is a bight more brighter and with higher contrast to the regular monitor so the actual colors on the screen will not be reflected online to others, but that's easily fixed by adjusting it in photoshop. calibration also helps . and B) the resolution isnt as high as cintiqs. but in the in the end this is not much of an issue
One thing to keep in mind is if you do use SAI, be sure to have your displays mirrored. There's an issue with SAI and a couple other programs if the display is extended it doesn't work as intended. Hopefully will be fixed in a future driver update. I speak as an owner of a MSP19U.
If you're switching from a Wacom tablet to this, the MSP19U is much more sensitive imo. If you're familiar with Photoshop, the program relies on the Wacom drivers for brush stability (this is just my observation) so any shakiness you have in your strokes will show. Using SAI or Manga Studio 5 it's incredibly wonderful. You need to be careful though as you need to remove all Wacom drivers (I believe there's cleaner programs to do so) before installing the UC Logic drivers. Any residue causes issues so keep that in mind. I've had mine since February and it's still working fantastic. I highly recommend it.
There's a few features missing the Cintiq has that the MSP19U lacks. An eraser and programable buttons on the product. There's a newer model coming out (MVP22U) which will be roughly a grand (same price as the smallest Cintiq) with higher resolution, an eraser on the pen, and programmable buttons and a larger screen. It's equivalent to the $2000 Cintiq model for half the price. If you're ok saving $400, the MSP19U is a solid choice.

it cant register the stylus on an angle? cause that's never happened on mine. or did you mean that it doesn't have tilt recognition? only the expensive wacoms have the tilt recognition, and not many software take advantage of that so its kind of pointless.
i say the Yiynova is a good investment for the money. also note that there is the new MVP22U V3, which has a bigger and better display. more expensive , but still way cheaper than the cintiqs
