She's a professional artist with a product quality far beyond most of the fandom. Good luck paying even that low of a price for an original outside of FA.

It's not customer feedback if you're not buying anything and therefore not a customer. Do you go into jewelry stores and tell the clerk they're charging too much? I didn't think so.

Gods above, do I ever get this all the time... I charge $400 for my 8x11 graphite portraits, because I spend nearly 100 hours on each one. I'm making sweatshop wages with them, and yet, people still balk. Artists will always be looked down upon, no matter how hard we work. I always ask what people earn for THEIR 80 paychecks, and to compare it to a lousy $400. They tend to shut up fast.

To Be Honest, That's actually one of the worst things you can say to an artist, EVER. I mean clearly the quality and effort is there, and the price is extremely justified.

Seriously, this fandom is extremely spoiled with cheap prices. Thus they have NO idea what artists are actually worth -_-

People make the mistake of confusing "I can't afford that price" with "that's too expensive/you're charging too much."

Maybe so. Even if that's what they meant, it's still kind of silly to bother making that statement to the artist.

I agree 2000%. I get it all the time from this place... fortunately, most of my income comes from outside the fandom, where people tend to scoff at me wanting to make a decent wage less. *sigh*

I think the prices are absolutely okay. Those badges are very pretty and I'm sure you spent a lot of time drawing them. Most furry artists are way underpaid.

These are great prices for traditional work. make some rad sales!

I am not going to AC this year but if I was I would commission something from you. More in the lines of your Daydreaming or Immerse Yourself work, they are beautiful. Any chance you are going to go to MFF this year? Or if you would not mind. Send me a note when your open for commission again. I always seem to see commission posts after all the slots are full. I hope you have a great time at AC and that you get more commission then you are hoping for. You should your work is wonderful.

Just from reading the thumbnail, I felt I had to pop in and give a thumbs-up for someone pricing their art a least a bit closer to representing the work that goes into it. For most artists I know, this quality would still end up being below minimum wage, based on the average rate they work at and considering materials.

Then I read the comments and saw someone apparently made a comment regarding overpricing. Your response was well-worded; calm, with just the right level of bluntness to get your point across.

It's worth at least twice!
The Watercolors as well. I mean...these are tiny paintings. Not some random badges!

I would also ask you to NOT write a name on it. Then frame it...and yeah :3
These are like ACEOs to me.

This!!! I always cringe seeing names put on these (no offense intended), I just look at them as minuature pieces of art and personally rather have a copy with the name on it and frame the original. Besides that, I'd feel devastated to have the original lost or damaged.

More than fair pices for work of this caliber..if anything I still feel you are undercharging for how much energy and time you put into your badges! I don't know what your hourly rate comes out as but I'm sure it's not wher it ought to be!
