Yesterday I got a call from my father bearing me news that my cat died of old age. Being my first pet, she was my baby. As you can see that she was the inspiration and now immortalized by Mia. I miss her so much.

A lot of us know what it's like to lose our pets - it's like God took a little piece of you away, but knwoing it's in a better place filled with all the yarn balls and couches to scratch that she could ever want might make the pain a bit easier to bare.
I'll be sure to keep you in my prayers, friend. God bless and grant you, your family and your furry little gaurdian angel all peace.

I'm really sorry to hear that. I've lost both a dog and a cat, so I know the kind of aching sadness you must be feeling right now. I'm not ashamed to admit that when my beloved Mittens had to be put to sleep, I cried like a baby the entire trip home from the vet's. I still miss her. The absolute best thing you can do though is make sure that Mia the anthromorphic, Scottish, nudist is there to carry on your memories of the RL cat for a very long time. *gives you a big, comforting, hug*
We lost Shadow to old age late last year, and waited until this year to open our doors to Millicent. Millicent, unlike Shadow, Kiko or Tina is a partial calico, with a white body. Losing Shadow was just too much. Two from old age, one from feline leukemia. At least at my age Millicent may outlive me.
Best to you, and an excellent bit of art as well.
