So yesterday I went to the annual 4th of July fireworks extravaganza held conveniently on July 5th so as to confuse as many people as possible. The whole thing nearly ended in disaster for me when I arrived and discovered that I'd forgotten to bring my camera. This necessitated a sprint back home during which I'm pretty sure I broke a few traffic laws. Still, I made it back in time for the 9:00 PM start time...and then waited forty minutes for the display to begin. I can only guess they were waiting for it to be dark enough. The wait was certainly worth it, though as I think I got a number of good pictures. What follows this will be the best of the best which was rather hard to decide.
