The whole thing was, as expected, quite loud, partially due to the fact that the whole thing took place across the street from a football stadium. This had the effect that when a firework went off you heard two bangs, one from the firework and one a couple of seconds later as the sound bounced off the stadium. It was like there were fireworks going off both in front and behind me.
