Just another page of my webcomic, SLOP.
Rita went to the river to find her sister's killer. I wonder what she thinks about what's she's found.

I suspect that Mulefoot the author is the only Mulefoot who knows; I doubt that Tony himself is sure of his intentions at this point.
Which is, probably, bad for Rita, as it means Tony might just go a little farther or say something he ought not have which makes up his mind for him
on the other hand, maybe little self-defense-guru Rita is tougher than Tony. It's not impossible; not likely, but a little training - and Rita's had ten years to work on it - can make someone very tough indeed.
Cheers,
Onyx Tao

Nooooo cliffhanger!
But then again, maybe I'm jumping to conclusions. ;)
This just makes me groan in anguish because I NEED MORE. You've got me very much engrossed. I love the way do your page layouts. That's something I've always had trouble with, but you're masterful at it and I'm certainly on the edge of my seat!
*waits patiently for more*

Surely the next page will reveal their fate. Will Rita be strangled? Will Mulefoot be shot?
Time will tell.
I'm glad you're on the edge of your seat. And thanks for the compliments on the layouts. I try and see the scene in my head like a movie before I lay out the page. There's a certain language to it all. A close up does something different to the viewer than a wider short.
The first four frames are frantic, tight frames. Rita is looking around and going through a variety of emotions.
Then we jump to a wide wide shot showing how shes alone at the river's edge.
Its the top of her head but really we're focusing on the reflection in the water. Final frame is a close up giving enough detail to get the idea across that Rita might be about to be strangled. In hindsight I should have zoomed in a little more with the final frame.

This is possibly my favorite of all your pages (and one of the best I've seen at all) - I love the build-up of it. There's absolutely no telling what's going to happen after this.
And it's somehow loud and heavily silent at the same time. You draw sound, I don't get how you do it...

I'm glad you like it so much. Hopefully, you'll like the next few pages just as much. I'm glad the page is so effective. I almost didn't have any words on the page at all but in the end decided on just one. "Nothing." that's what Rita has found. No answers. No solace. No solution.
Good god your suspense is nothing short of amazing. I really can't get enough of your comic and story line, I ache to know more too. I really can't give you one reason why! I'll just say I'm an great admirer and leave it at that for now aha.
Your ink work varies so much too, which I'll always like. The straight hatches of her face, to the thick ripples of the reflections. I love it!
