As for the tail, just make it stiff and curled, like an s-curve. It could stay off the ground and people would see it coming XD

true....I just know if I like that look...she doesn't really ever hold it up...so it would feel a bit stiff and posed....but there may not be much of another way around it though

well... maybe you could make it so it floops up the back of the outfit... I'd have to draw whats in my head... >.<

the tail would be quite long....I made one a couple years ago...it was about 5' long...people just don't expect a to need ot look out for a long trailing tail ;)

Well, its good steering when you're cloud surfing. And based on how prehensile it is, you can thwap people or pick em up and throw them out of the way.

XD I had originally thought about doing it like they do the skunk/squirrel tails where they have something connecting it to the back or head, but I still didn't like that! XD How are you going to do all the hair though? That's what I'm trying to figure out! Thought about doing it like I do when I customize ponies, but it would cost SO MUCH and take forever! XD

I'm planning to use wefted hair extensions...I'd love to use human hair but it's very pricey...this costume may be more like a partial though...it may just be a tail/ears/ horns/ and maybe some feet...sort of taking the anime cat girl style...but as a dragon instead!

That sounds cute! I thought about buying a bunch of wings too. XD I should really see if i can find any cheap yet good ones. I'm sure florescent green is going to be a bit of a bug to find. I'm planning on doing the whole thing, from forehead to tail tip. I was going to commission someone for it (in the amazingly far future) but I can't seem to find someone who's basic suits (and I like their style and can afford) can meet my basic specs! :O (Glasses/Moving Jaw actually). If we ever get our costumes done, we should totally get pictures of them together! :D

Such a lovely flowing eastern dragoness. :) One of my characters is an eastern, and she's the one I'd want to do a fursuit of, if I were going to do do one, so I can see how the tail would be hard/irritating to do, lol. You want to make it look nice, pretty and realistic, but ya don't want someone to step on it and accidentally tear it off your behind, lol.

I really just love the soft muted colors of this picture. So elegant and clean, and very lovely. :) It's rare to see dragons done so well on here, and I can tell you really love that character. :)
