I actually drew this while holed up in a 24hr coffee shop for the night after an unusually long hold by customs caused me to miss the last Toronto-bound bus in Windsor and have to stay up all night to catch the first morning bus home after being turned away at the U.S. border and denied the ability to go visit one of my partners; a visit that was highly anticipated and fairly important to our respective mental healthes, mine in the sense of getting away from exactly the sort of wrong kind of people you so mentioned and hirs because sie was in desperate need of comfort. I started drawing more or less immediately after the text messages detailing hir emotional breakdown petered off.
Reason for rejection? Didn't have any money on me. God Bless America.

America is being taken over by fascist bureaucrats. I loath them as much as you do. If you had had $2,000 in cash on you they would have stolen your cash (must be a dope dealer) and refused you entry, too. I'm serious! We are witnessing the modern replay of the last decades of the Roman Empire, complete with debasement of money and severe restrictions on travel. Too bad there is no plague that would be selective for government agents.
