I talk about Godzilla all the time (mostly to myself, don't judge me) and I mentioned a couple times to some of my friends that I should take a picture of my collection and show it off. This is just the figures, and yes it's still growing. There're are still a few figures I'd like to get, a couple I'd like to get mint in box so I can sell them in about 10 years if I need money, etc. Let me walk you through them.
Starting off with the smaller figures, these are your basic 6" vinyl figures, these are pretty common, save for a few of the ones I have, although all of mine are from the early 2000's.
Reading from left to right we have Spacegodzilla, Godzilla (1970's era), the original '54 Godzilla, Mechagodzilla 2003, Godzilla from Final Wars 2004, Godzilla 1984, and Gamera.
Gamera's not a Godzilla monster, but he is one of the more famous Kaiju so I figured I'd buy one. I let my nephew play with it when he comes over.
behind those figures are my two Mecha Ghidorah figures, one mint with tag. Regular King Ghidorah, Destroyah (my favourite Godzilla monster). And next to those is my Mothra figure (very rare), and my theatre exclusive figures of both the 2002 and 2003 versions of Mechagodzilla. 'Theatre Exclusive' means they were only sold in the cinema during the premier, both a quite rare, luckily I was able to get one complete with it's tag.
Behind those is my King Ghidorag plush that makes sound, and my latest and more interesting Godzilla figure. It's a 9" vinyl Godzilla from the 90's era, I've never seen this figure before, of this version of Godzilla or in this size. I'm sure that it's extremely rare and worth quite a bit, I got it for $20 off Etsy. :3
And on the far left is the complete set of 12" Godzilla, Mechagodzilla, and Gigan. both from the 2000's era. I'm not too fond of Gigan, but I figures I'd complete the set.
And at the back in the boxes; starting with the black and white one is my rare diecast Mechagodzilla in stealth black paint, more valuable than the standard silver one. One day I might get another one that's sealed since it's rare and I've got a lead on a guy in Japan selling unopened ones for a little over $120. And finally we have my S.H.Monsterarts figures of Godzilla, 90's era Mechagodzilla, and Spacegodzilla.
The S.H.Monsterarts figures are awesome, and there's a bunch more I want to get. They cost a bloody fortune though DX
By the way, theses are all sitting on the bookshelf in my living room. So everyone can see how much of a life I don't have :3c
