forgive me if this is written poorly cuz I'm really sleep deprived.
so anyway, I haven't really used poor kat as a persona in forever. I wanna rename her and just keep her forever as a regular oc. I'm the only kat around these parts! so let's try and call her salem, perhaps? I'm really fond of this name for several reasons
I've always had a basic backstory for this character, regardless of her name. she was a pretty regular, if shy, young woman up until her 20th birthday, which is still mine (right before halloween). she was always interested in the occult (see, a lot of this is just "me" because she was originally a persona) and was smokin and drinkin with her friends one night when they had a good ol' fashioned stoned seance. but it was legit as fuck cuz she became possessed in an instant and her friends got fucking toasted. hysterically, she tried to summon a demon to sell her soul to, which would drive out the ghost. she summoned horned god, baphomet. otherwise known as the horny god because he has a hardcore witch fetish. salem sold her soul to baphmet and became a witch, quickly realizing the ghost wasn't leaving. in fact, it brought friends. lots of them. salem became the host for thousands of rogue spirits of varying power, just barely able to control her body with her new witch power. and to make it worse, she then belonged to baphomet, the worst boyfriend to hundreds of other women in the world. and annoyingly, he seemed to favor her.
salem only shares a few personality details with me. we're both really depressed and nocturnal and tormented by these fucking morbid-ass thoughts but she's more shy and awkward than I am, yet a bit more slutty. but yeah she'll always be practically a persona no matter what I say. I like when people think of this character when they think of me.
also salem is totally a witch house band from michigan (where I live) that I play on halloween when it's dj kat time! and if your first thought is that it's a guy's name because of sabrina the teenage witch, that is a-okay with me. it usually is a guy's name but it's unisexual

I love your art style. I'm into the occult too, I don't want to cause an argument but I think there's a little misunderstanding regarding witches and demons. The Horned God isn't evil or demonic, he represents animal life (reason for the horns) and the masculine side of everything, and is the father and hunter. Also it is unacceptable for a witch to harm anyone so they can't be related to any evil doings. Sorry if I sound pushy I don't mean to offend anyone.
believe me, i know xD a lot of creative liberties are taken here to present an interesting story. it absolutely does not reflect any real system of beliefs or customs. the playboy depiction of baphomet actually comes from this misuse of his image in the metal scene and the "witches" in this fictional universe are pretty comic book when it comes down to it. they all have various special powers pertaining to things about them and whatever. so relax, I'm not offended, nor am I misunderstanding~ perhaps one could argue I'm perpetuating negative stereotypes but I don't think any of this stuff gets enough attention as it is for that to be the case. it's niche enough that most people, I think, understand what they need to know and let the fiction exist in its own little world :)
