I think the knee and the front part of the lower legs should be carved away. I'd also use more foam to make your leg more solid. The way you have it now, it looks like when you fur it, the fur may look a bit wrinkled/scrunched laying over the foam because of the gaps in the foam.

I thought part of the knee needed to be carved away, but yeah I see that the lower leg needs some carving on it too. I plan to add more foam. I'm just trying to get the basic shape down first. Thanks for linking me those tutorials they will really help.
