Well, another user already gave you an idea but I will still give you mine.
He went for the cuteness and I am going for the coolness. (If you're not doing it don't worry, I will do it)
A vaporeon jumping out of the water like a dolphin, using the classic and cliche pose of dolphin photos you may have seen. Of course the splash of the water is essencial as well and a cloudy background can do the job.

Well, about this picture you are doing very good with these out-of-the-normal poses. ^v^ b
All of the body/line art is greatly done (and looks a lot like the official art, so I like it much more) except for the arms. The arms are all fuzzy, yeah, I know you may wanted them like this. As a suggestion I think you should have done the legs fuzzy as well to balance. All fuzzy or all clean.
There's something else, the head, I think it should be between both arms and not in the front. I mean, cover the head with the front arm, I know you loose detail in the head but gives more realism.

The colors are fine as always and the shadow as well. The light this time is less noticeable than your last submission, but it can be seen slightly, doesn't make it look bad at all.

the only think i point out is what digi says, for this particular angle, the head would be partially behind the left shoulder (Espeon's left), but nothing else i cant tell, it all looks great! >wO

all i did was switch the arms and makes the head blend in to the body in the back...
