Here's a shot comparing a pair of dragon feet with and without silvering applied to the scales. The underlying latex is also silver, but has a much more muted shine to it. The silvering really makes the scales pop :)
I'd already started silvering the scales on the toes of the second foot before I thought to take a picture for comparison.
