I learned to shoot in my native Wisconsin's Northwoods when I was about 10 years old...with a Marlin 336 chambered for 30-30. Thanks largely to that, I've always been a huge fan of single- and lever-action firearms. Old-West type stuff. They're like the manual transmission of firearms.
Anyway, while it isn't an authentic Colt Single Action Army, it is a 99% near-perfect replica...at 30% of the cost of the real deal. To be honest, I'd never fire it if it was an authentic Colt; it'd be sitting in a case for its entire life. Having said that, I can hardly complain about this revolver's quality and accuracy--firing offhand, it hits a 16" target at 100 yards over and over and over again.

I'm very impressed by how well-made it really is. The finish looks beautiful, the cylinder has no play, matches up almost flush with the barrel, locks up nice and tight, and the stock trigger pull is more than adequate. The best part: all of that was only $500 brand-new. I also don't have any reservations on taking it out to shoot it.
Considering you can't find an actual Colt SAA these days for less than $1500, I'd say I made off like a bandit.
