Taking a break from texture modding... I finally had time to draw the characters of one of my favourite cartoon!
For those who don't know - Blazing Dragons is an excellent and very, very funny cartoon set in a 'twisted' medieval age where the Knights of the Round table are actually dragons. The idea of the show comes from Monty Python member Terry Jones who also produced it - so it the show is full of british humor and sometimes quite adult jokes too...
The plot usually revolves around the corpulent and lazy braggart Sir Loungealot, who always lets his squire Flicker do the work instead of him... Poor Flicker, the real star of the show, is pretty much the only one who actually follows the Code of Chivalry (to the letter) and dreams of becoming a knight one day, to marry Princess Flame... But until then, Flicker always finds some excuse to be somewhere else when Flame wants "something" from him. Know what I mean if you've seen the show... If you haven't, watch it on Yotube, one of my fav. episodes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r50lweKvEz4
I used Flame's second season appearance for the pic - the hair really adds a lot to her sex appeal! Colors and background done in photoshop, characters drawn by hand. I tried to draw a background like on the show. Hope you like it!

I'm not sure either... thought I always wondered why was the game using completely different designs (dragon-taurs namely) then the toon... I'd like to try it, but I don't have a PS1.
Oh and a funny trivia - Terry Jones was actually doing voices for the game. Though sometimes I could swear he was the voice of Queen Griddle in the show as well, they sound so alike.

I guess since the cartoon producers didn't work on the game, there would be some differences (except for most of the names. Queen Griddle does not appear in the game, whereas Mervin (Sir George's bumbling magician) is male in the game, but a female sorceress in the cartoon, Merle the Wizard.) And King Allfire looks lastly different between the two. Old and skinny in the game, younger and fatter in the cartoon.
As I answered him : "The show was released in 9/9/96 and the game in 10/3/96 on PS1 and Hallowen on Sega Saturn, but were actually both created at the same time. They were being created at the same time without meetings between Nelvana and Crystal Dynamics, which is why the 2 stories and character are very different."

Looooooool XD WELL ACCORDING TO ONE OF THE SCRIPWRITERS, HE IS SUPPOSED TO BE "A FLAMBOYANT GAY" : http://67.media.tumblr.com/42d4d655.....rfnfo2_500.png
Blaze's late father, Griddle's first husband. http://blazingdragons.wikia.com/wik.....he_Nearsighted I ship it so much.
I mean "Simp" is meant for a man or boy who desperate for attention from women or girl.
I mean Flicker is simp because he didn't admit that he fall in love with Princess Flame.
He didn't get his own "happily ever after" at the end of season 2 episodes of Blazing Dragon. No kissing from lips or whatsoever.
After first I just like "Aww, he wants to get love from Princess Flame" but now "*gasps* Simp!"

Ah. I am not that "in" with the new slang.
Definitely, Flicker was kinda shy and I think he did not really know what to do with a relationship. He often excused himself and ran off on some errand whenever Flame started to get all romantic with him (Possibly though, the real reason he did so is that he did not want to embarrass her, a princess, to be caught with a squire - it did happen once and Flicker got thrown in jail by Queen Griddle, remember). He probably does plan to ask for her hand in marriage once he is a full knight.
