Halo is a young female who has not mated. She has a timid personality, walks lightly and quick to hide. She follows Vent around for protection but she is not always sure about Vent's motives to why he allows her to follow him around. Deer-like with feathers making up her tail.

Vent is an older male, in the past he belonged to a herd of his kind but after a serious fight over a flirtatious female, he backed off and went along life as a loner. He is a bird and fish eater. His body produces a lot of heat, so several pores have developed into vent-like openings to release that heat. He sweats a flammable gas through the large pores and at times the gas ignites into flames. His skin is undamaged by the flames.
He does mind halo following him, she's good company for the old loner and he enjoys looking at her. Vent is not much of a stud, during mating season he becomes irritated, but does not seek out a mate. He does not allow any males to bully Halo away from him.
