Byzantine with single connector. Stainless steel rings and a hematite center piece.
And it is natural hematite. Most people don't know that almost all hematite used in jewelry or sold in stores is now man made. Not that it REALLY matters but some people whine if the stones are man made. Ten bucks says you have man made hematite and don't know the differance. I may display the differances between natural and man made hematite in a later post.
I plan on using more stones and crystals in my work ASAP but at the moment I don't have the funds for such an investment. So if you are a rock geek, stoneusing new ager, or just like shiny stuff hold tight for a few months.
I have begun to try and add coins and such to give people a better idea of size.

thats quite awesome. i have always been a fan of chain mail and that is a wonderful byzantine.
if i ever get back out to my moms camper i plan to dig up some more specular hematite. it is quite the stuff. very glittery. have done some wire wrap jewelry from it and it turned out nice.

Ah yes I love specular hematite. I have a fist sized plate of it just sitting around in my rock collection. I enjoy the celestial look to it. Blue goldstone looks a lot like it though if you ever are looking for the same look but you want various shapes at a decent price since man made is cheaper.
Oh i love goldstone. i have brown and black and blue and of course the regular tanish stuff. i almost got some of the nice bright green but someone beat me to it. the green is the hardest to get to. Also this past weekend i found at a rock and mineral booth at a local festival piece of chromium ore. much brighter than hematite and light. so very light. i was expecting the weight of hematite but this stuff was almost as light as the pure silicon stuff they occasionally use instead of hematite
