OK, so I guess I might as well post something.....
This was my 1st close raccoon friend. A wild raccoon, he and I formed a bond that helped give me true insight to their species. I pet and groomed him, walked with him in search of food, and slept on the forest floor with him, head to head sharing the same 'pillow'. I think part of his outgoing nature was from being the only cub of a very attentive mother, who I named Mia. I don't think I can really convey anything that would truly do him justice, so I'll just offer the only decent picture I have of him, taken with my mom's camera on a one-day loan. He was but one of many raccoons I knew well in the area, but he's the most unforgettable.
For those of you who recognize this picture, yes, I uploaded it years ago onto my old website and it spread from there.
