Wow! This is really good! The shading and texturing are really well done, the face has a nice sense of depth and substance. I have to say I think this is one of your best human pics I've seen, it's also the first time I've seen you do a non-androgynous male human. On a side note, is it just me of does he look kinda like the Prince from Sands of Time?
Haha, it's so true! <3 It's even worse if you're painting a picture of someone you know really well (like a family member or portrait of the client) - you can be just a tiny, tiny bit off, and all of a sudden their nose is hideously deformed, or their cheeks look totally fat and lumpy, or what have you. I've literally had examples of images where people wanted tweaks to their portraits where I've fixed it from being "o_O looks off" to "omg perfect thank you!" literally by changing things by only a few pixels.
