I really really wanted a bird character of my own so I rewatched Rio for some inspiration. I'm settling on having a Welcome Swallow as I love them to bits and they're native to Aus-- like me :D
This is all I've got of her so far, and she's nameless. I've gotta practice the wings more but I'm glad I've got the basic idea down.

looks very nice, so does the wing. i don't really have an criticism to point out here because it looks lovely (and because avians are my favorite race next to dragons >_>) keep going at it, i'm sure once you pin it down she'll be very beautiful.

I've been trying to draw her head at a more frontal angle but goddammit beaks are so awkward pointing forwards. I've got a lot of bird study to do before I start her full body ref, I want her to be perfect.
When rewatching Rio I forgot how much I loved the song Hot Wings (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-n-JZ8MFoI), how cool would it be do dance to that in a bird fursuit?
