Trent "also did you gain weight? " Flask "no i'm just parting it differently today."
Hey all this is Flask here to review or as I'm calling it Retro Review some older games for those who may have missed these gems or want something to refresh and make you feel the glory days of gaming again.
You'll notice I didn't give these games a burning 5 flanks of awesome bumps! My reasons beside the fact they been out a while obviously since late 90s to early 2000 which graphics wise yeah their a little on the old style however upon playing them I sunk back into the love and warm fuzzy of how much fun they were. The upside it good wholesome sometimes scare you with a smashing window or a monster popping up on you fun. Also a plus and downside to some folks are the camera angles, now for me I loved the scare camera angles because it makes you wonder what around the corner. Another factor that bugged some is the gunning yeah you can't run and gun wah wah go play call of duty ( please note I have nothing against call of duty although the market feels like all our games have to be it for some reason!) but this is Resident Evil meant to be some poor smucks who didn't know what they were getting into.
I'm reviewing Resident Evil for the GameCube first and I got to say I've had this baby for the longest time and never beat it. I went though the story mode first as good ol Chris Redfield and then Jill Valentine, Now granted shiny newer graphics are nice also the game plays similar to the original psone release that i sort of knew by heart but it add a few things to the mix. Like different puzzles and spots where everything is hidden. For the increase in graphics and smoother feel it only draw backs are camera angles that I do admit sometimes get you killed. Also if your looking to pick up this title I suggest the gamecube version. Why? Simple it cheaper and it plays the same as the Wii version.
Resident Evil 2 or as many would say the crowning moment of the series where you have the option of playing through the story from one point of view then to play the other characters story to see how person 1 sort of helped or boned person 2. It took me a while to get back into the groove of this considering the graphics were a little dated but I found myself loving and having nostalgia in no time also got a psp or Vita? Check them out on the hand held they look marvelous and it fun to take the games on the go. All in all I've played through it multiple times til I got down to testing myself to see how long I could Play this game without dying or saving and I've come close to my record of 2 hours. Also it features a neat hard mode as my favorite char hunk. Oh and if you downloaded this for the psone network it 6 buck sand comes with the gamecube version that gave you extra goodies to make playing easier in case some of you are nervous about the difficulty.
Last but not surely least is Resident Evil 3 I personal loved it for the fact you play as Jill Valentine a character whom mashed with Resident Evil 1's Rebecca Chambers was the inspiration of Rebecca Roo er hem. In this game you play for the most part Jill who stayed behind in the city to help people out instead being stuck in the city. She gets some interesting weapons that makes you feel a little more like a bad ass vs being a survivor well that sort of changes with big baddy whom my favorite Resident evil creature the nemesis who can smash through wall carrys a big ol bazooka or machine gun and has a creepy addiction to those shiny things in super mario brothers. Only thing I feel Resident Evil 3 suffers from is you are only playing as one character it would of been nice if Chris got in on it or who knows maybe Barry or even Rebecca would of been nice addition. It was nice to see the graphics get a little paint job and be updated but can't have it all.
If you don't know any of the characters or wanna try out some old gamer goodness check these three titles out defiantly now as you've noticed I bad mouthed the latest game in the series and some may wonder why others will nod and say "Hear Hear!" other might shake their heads and say "Fan boy" well that's the problem I am a fan boy of the series but it not exactly why I'm bad mouthing 6.
Reasons for my bad attitude to the 6 installment is one it doesn't deserve a title of Resident Evil I mean if it had been named Bio attack or Bio Hazard I would of understood it but come on people when I played a demo and see Sherry Birkins kneeing a Gecko lizard monster thing that bigger then her has teeth that would make a t-rex flinch and she acts like this is just playing kick ball ugh it over. Also from what I've played seen, watch, heard, and so forth it not worth 30 dollars even I plan to play it someday but only when it hits like 20 bucks Maybe...Maybe I would go so far if it hits 15 bucks because honestly it not worth your money your better time spent would be to purchase the classics get some enjoyment see how fast you can beat the game in a time run after you've enjoyed it then playing a game that's suppose to be one long and boring as hell action movie.

See that's my point I hear from alot of folks "Oh Man Leon Campaign is so awesome!" then I nod my head "what about the rest of it?" they blink "Well uhh leon campaign was awesome?" It falls apart You can't sell a game with one or so character having an awesome bit! Also I plan to play Zero Soon I never beat it I own it for gamecube you can get it for the wii but I hear no different from game cube.
Loved code veronica except the fat you can't use a shot gun to blow zombie heads off which was very odd I know sounds like I'm in it for the gore but it not that just a good shotgun blast helps keep em down well otherwise I think it was a neat idea an island locked off and then a artic base I also loved how you played both characters chris and claire.
