I am pretty sure I never posted this here which surprises me. This is the best of the best of my abilities. My best media in the best execution.
This was a very difficult piece to finish and even to this date, nearly two years later after its finish, it remains my best piece I ever finished.
The name, "Undaunted," refers to my abilities in colored pencil. If I love the subject enough and can stick with it, I can do ANYTHING reasonable with it.
Prismacolor pencils only on a full sheet of black card stock.

Actually, my whole use of coloring on black paper started in high school when I asked an art teacher what good metallic gold and silver colored pencils were for *because they looked awful on white*.
She said they probably look better on black paper. And thus a beautiful relationship was born. :3
As for spacescapes in pencil, an anthro artist that got a Daily Deviation on DeviantArt just randomly started drawing these random, somewhat poor quality spacescapes. I realized at that point it was possible. D:

Yah, thanks. And Prismacolor pencils are about as opposite to digital painting as you get pretty much. No erasing, no coloring over. Like the rings on the gas giant HAD to colored first. You couldn't practically do it any other way.
But I guess the challenge is what I like. You don't see me doing the super easier photoshop manipulation spacescapes. I could probably do something like this in photoshop in 1-2 hours and that would include the guesswork.
