You must know the darkness to appreciate the light you have.
While I definitely do not agree with you, or your views, they are still too attached to American right wing views and fail to see or ignore the larger view to put it simply imho.
I think we can both agree that the system here no longer belongs to the people, and the people have no idea how important what they are giving up is to those who horde money and power.
People who if they horded say newspapers or trash instead would be considered ill.
The only thing is I realized something, you can't save those who don't want it, So i say let them give stuff up year after year to the horders, the corporate theocrats.
Many may have missed it, you know in celebration of how two people who are the same gender can now have the same rights and privileges in marriage as the rest of us.
But the same court, with people put in place by the those same horders, has gutted the right of people to vote in this country, as shallow as it has become non withstanding.
And no one said nary a whimper except those shouted down as crackpots.
It is now legal, in the united states now.
For any state to create laws that are designed to prevent or hamper any group of people from voting because the act that once was there to protect them now no longer has a legal mechanism to define these acts thus making the law toothless.
For those that don't understand it is like having a law against theft, but that law lacks anything that defines what 'theft' is and because of that the law cannot be enforced.
If I survive the on coming darkness, I will be standing at the end of it to ask one simple question to those who willingly helped it along.
'do you value now what you so willingly gave up then as 'not needed?'

Things are getting better. The legislation turns against gene patents, the maker movement will only get stronger, as will open source, so the fat cats will increasingly lose their monopoly. The digital interconnection of at least a third of the world will only accelerate it.
Is it strange to say I kinda know how he feels?
When my mom died, something inside of me kinda... snapped. I stopped feeling things so much, and just started doing what I had to do from day to day to live. It didn't really seem like it mattered or anything; I just wasn't about to waste the one thing I still had that she had given me... my life.
To this day, I don't have the same emotions as others, and it bothers and seems to repulse some people when I show no signs of sadness (which i lost completely), anger (the blank look I give people trying to piss me off disturbs them enough to either make them try harder or leave me alone in a hurry) or pretty much anything else keeps people from wanting to spend long amounts of time around me.
On another note in this: just how greedy or hungry ARE the preds in this story? They're just grinding up and eating anything and anyone they find lying around!
