idk the goat and sheeps story but they have been here for 7 years and they have hired me to get them use to ppl and to get them cleaned up maybe ppl mite want them more nut it mite have been tornadoes or fire or something could have happened to the farmer that owned them with 2 other goats that already have been adopted
Well, ironically when the tornado hit Moore, there was another that went less than a mile south of the rescue. But no. All these farm animals are the remnant of another farm that was foreclosed almost a decade ago. They would have been put down if the rescue hadn't taken them all. The two other goats were friendly and adopted, but this goat and the ram are still very shy of people. The pigs are all very friendly. They're just old and big now. People want them when they're small and cute, but once they grow up, they end up in shelters. These poor guys have been eating whatever expired food the Edmond Walmart will donate to the rescue because that's all the rescue can afford for them. They really need to find good homes with people that know how and can afford to care for them properly.
That's pretty awesome. Yeah, we're a no-kill non-profit rescue. We never put an animal down for not finding a home. We just keep looking for homes for our pets until they find one or pass away. >.=.> We're doing a "Project Cleanup!" day today (Saturday) to try to fix the place up and get better photos of everyone. =) We have almost 300 animals right now, almost half of which are big dogs. We need to find them homes, so if you know anyone looking, feel free to send them to our new website: www.RealRescueProject.com . ^.=.^
Thanks! He's super shy though. We're hoping Rose can get him back to a people-friendly state. Sadly, the rescue workers didn't know anything about goats and have just been feeding him bread and carrots and other miscellaneous leftovers. They know nothing of grooming a goat either, so I'm sure his poor hooves are awful. He really needs to get a lot of attention and tlc and then find a good home with someone with other goats that knows how to care for him properly...
