At first when I was asked by  Mystee to draw something for her "Squirrels are Good For..." sketchbook I had trouble thinking up an idea. Then I started drifting around for what came to mind when I thought of the word "squirrel", and it wasn't long after that before Rocky J. Squirrel came crashing back into memory.

It's probably been 30 years since I watched more than a brief clip of the Rocky and Bullwinkle Show, but the show has never left my subconscious and I daresay the little asides the characters would make was an early influence on my own sense of humor.

Granted I drew this back in March and it's now a week since the 4th of July, but NEVERTHELESS...! Enjoy the propaganda!
