Everyone Needs Toys
I know some friends that still have toys stashed away in their closet or in plain sight in their room. Even though their age are between 18 and 26, they still love to by small trinkets and toys once in a while. They believe that they are still clinging onto something in side of them that makes them young once in a while. I agree with them. No one is really too old to still collect small toys. Some say that they go to Newbury Comics to get their plushies and toys. I have been in Newbury comics before and half of their store holds toys and plushies, but more so for teenagers instead for toddlers.
This was just something small I just drew up. I dont really have any deep meaning for this picture, just something cute and happy.

I really like this. I've often wished I would have saved more of my childhood toys and plushies, but many of them got left behind when my family and I made a big move. This piece is a good reminder to cherish those precious things, rather than let them get swept away. Good work.
Both my grandmothers had collections of toys they kept on display. One grandmother was a Jehova's Witness and even though she didn't celebrate birthdays, holidays or anything, I would still get her a little stuffed birdy around her birthday. The other one had a collection of beanies from my aunt. Before she passed away, I bought her a little stuffed foxy to watch over her. She kept him in the basket of her walker and when she died, we placed him in the coffin beside her.
Both of them were around 88 when they passed away but I still have a few of their stuffed animals to remind me of them. It's been 2 years since they both passed and the stuffies still smell like their respective homes. Whenever I need to remember my grandmothers, I just hug the toys and smell the comforting scents. The scents are weaker every day, but they still linger.

I wanted one of those jumping puppies as a kid, but I never got one...
I agree, as one who has loved toys since childhood and never stopped. One of those who named all her toys (even some of the cars) and still remembers most of the names. I talked to them as a kid, I knew them like friends. They're still friends in a way today, even when I've found real people friends out there.
A lot of people still love toys. Some "justify" it by getting really expensive trains or dolls or whatever type of toys they collect. I just pounce at any toy I fall in love with, disregarding price tags and brands. They're just cute and make me smile.
