When Death came upon the bear he was hardly breathing. He lay there beat and broken, so Death sat down next to him to wait for nature to take it's course. The bear stirred and turned an eye on death, he knew she was waiting for him and she would not leave until he took his final breath. In a way it was comforting that he did not have to be alone in a time such as this. "Shall we have a conversation?" The bear weakly asked Death. The bunny was shocked, normally folks cowered in fear when she was about. So Death and the bear talked long into the evening until the bear became extremely weak and short of breath. It wouldn't be long now Death though sadly, for in a short time she had grown found of the bear. Death was good at her job, she reaped the souls that were on her list (no more no less) and she brought them to the afterlife with no fuss, but on this day the bunny disregarded her orders and reanimated the dead bear. She fussed metal to his flesh and breathed life back into his being. The bear let out an anguished roar. "Why, why would you do this to me?" he asked Death. "Because I have the power to!" She roared back. Death could not understand that the bear was at peace with his death, she was use to people begging her to let them be, but here was this mighty bear who was just fine with passing away into oblivion. This made her love him even more. "I did it because I love you!" Death told the bear. The bear was quiet for a while. "I'll forgive you... because I love you as well." The bear was a lost soul, he had no memory of who he once had been all he knew now was the fierce love he had for death itself. Death named her new warrior Mecha and from that day on the bunny and bear were never to part.
