Caspian Piscatori - Reference + Description + Short Bio
Finally got around to working out the otter character I've been wanting to do for a while now. This is a definite solid starting ground, but some of this is obviously subject to change.
Name: Caspian Piscatori
Nicknames: Cass, Cassy
Species: North American River Otter (Lontra Canadensis)
Age: 23
Height: 5’10”
Build: Stocky
Eyes: Dark blue
Hair: Messy mop of darker blonde hair
Facial Hair: Little bit of a scruffy chin beard
Detailed Physical Description + Artist Instructions: Though a bit stocky, Caspian is not obese nor even stereotypically fat. He does look a bit thick around the middle, and has a small gut to him, however. His body should lack definition, as he is not the type to work out. His markings are fairly standard for his species, and he lacks any real defining trait in that regard. For the hair, it should be noted that Caspian’s hair should always convey an unkempt style, unless he is fresh out of the water. Caspian’s detailing should vary depending on the situation. In high detail and mature pieces, he should feature a tuft of blonde pubic hair which extends up to his naval in a thin line, as well as similar blonde tufts under his arms. In low detail, and generally in all-ages pictures these details are skipped.
Personality: In many ways, the formality of Caspian’s name stands in complete contrast to who he is at his core. Caspian is a laid back kind of guy through-and-through; the kind of guy who’s not really bothered by much of anything. He can be dropped into almost any situation and either flourish or at least pass for acceptable. Despite his friendly demeanor and how easy it is for him to get along with people, he spends most of his time alone at home because over everything else, Caspian is lazy. He’s the type of friend that you have to drag along places. Though at his core, he’s a good guy, Caspian is a bit spacey and doesn’t always think things through. This sometimes leads to him saying the completely wrong thing and hurting those he considers close.
Brief Biography: As a boy, Caspian was never much for school. He skated by most years and opted out of college when the time came. He wasn’t a dumb boy by any means, and he could have probably been a solid B-student all the way through college if he had tried for it, but he was happy just sliding through doing the minimum. In high school, he briefly joined the school’s swim team. Though he was always a strong swimmer (and still is despite his out-of-shape appearance), the amount of practice and dedication required just didn’t agree with him and he quit within a week.
After high school, Caspian spent a bit of time mooching off of his parents before taking a crappy little hourly job in town and using his meager earnings to eventually rent out a little apartment. He continued to do just enough to get by for a few years. He was happy enough with what he had and didn’t really see a need to try to change things. One day after work, while grabbing himself a bottle of soda and some chips for a gaming marathon, Caspian took a couple extra dollars he had on him and bought himself a lottery ticket. Eventually, about a week after the drawing, he got around to checking the ticket and found that he had won big – enough money to live large and never have to work again. For him though, a big house or fancy cars were fairly meaningless. He tossed the money in the bank, quit his job, and just lives the lazy life he always wanted to. The only real change the money had was in the nicer versions of things he was now able to afford.
