From my recent trip to Knoebel's Grove. This is the original cobblestone cottage that was built as a summer home for Knoebel and his family near the swimming hole on the property (the swimming hole became a public attraction in 1926) In 1973, the park decided rather than simply keeping the building standing, that they'd use it and coverted its lower floor into a Homemade Fudge shop :) and its GOOOOOD Fudge

Yea, when they converted it into a Fudge shop, the exterior only had minor things added to it like signs, lighting, etc. The interior was completely redone, and the 2nd floor was raised to allow a higher ceiling for the shop. So even though it looks 2 stories high, its currently more like one and a half. But to sit and look at each stone that was cemented together to form this building and know that it was done by one man and a few friends is incredible :)
