This is the antique Steam powered tractor on-site at Knoebel's Grove. While the Drive train is shot and it will never move again, it DOES run, and they do run it daily to power a mill saw (off-camera, powered by the drive belt shown)
These tractors were rather expensive and cumbersome, and were a rarity even in their day, but those that were in use powered mills, threshers, grinders etc. I often marvel at the display of old "analog" machines and the engineering genious that went into them. Nothing is cooler than a steam-powered ANYTHING with the scent of its burning fuel and the soot in the air *cough cough*

I love these old engines too! My step-dad has actually worked on about four or five different ones, and he can rattle off all the facts about them too! It's a lot of fun when we go to a local event called The Threseree's. It's kinda like a little fair, but with a HUGE emphasis on tractors. xD
Thanks for enjoying ^.^ Despite it only being something to look at, this machine for me has ALWAYS been something to visit everytime I've gone to this park. To see it still in working order now as I had as a child is simply amazing to me, considering how short thing's lifespans are nowadays.
