IDK. What I don't understand is why thou don't see any Chip 'N Dale stuff anymore. I was lucky ro acquire volumes 1 and 2 of the Rescue Rangers and a figurine of Chip and Dale based on the original. Why don't we see 'em these days?! I think they were in "Mickey Mouse's Club House" once, but those two chipmunks are Disney classics for Osiris' sake!
You have to remember that its all "product." When they were producing the cartoons to air on television, the also made "tie-ins" that could be sold on the back of the cartoons. When the cartoons went off the air, the tried to squeeze a little more money out of the product by producing VHS casettes, but those were an inefficient medium, so relatively few of the cartoons were ever released in that format. Along came DVD and they were re-released. I have the impression that sales slacked off, though, and there were only two complete seasons produced for DVD. (Both of which I was able to buy for $15 in the discount bin at Walmart.) Disney never completed most of its DVD series ... probably because they stopped being profitable enough to bother. The show was long off the air and -- furries notwithstanding -- nobody was interested anymore.
If I had any great amount of Rescue Rangers figures, t-shirts, coffee cups, fridge magnets, bathtub stickers, nose rings or butt plugs, I'd offer to sell them to you. I'm trying to get rid of a lot of that sort of thing. But I don't recall much Disney afternoon figures or anything much else that appealed to me at the time, so I don't have much RR stuff in the old "toy box" to rid myself of. Maybe nothing.

I understand. And yet, I don't think they're completely forgotten since I seen them in PalComix and Robot Chicken. Click here to see the Rescue Rangers on Robot Chicken, It's hilarious!
