I figured I'd start posting some stuff I did when I was gone. Not like there will be a flood of it, haha
I painted this for my granny as a Birthday gift. I was never good with paints, but this is the third painting I did in nearly 7 years and, for all its errors and overall awkwardness, I can't help but be happy with how it turned out. The canvas is rather big and I couldn't take a decent photo of it; I'm sad that the darkest parts look so flat because they have a nice thick texture to them irl (the whole thing has a lot more contrast to it too). I had 6 days to finish it and I could only paint for an hour or two each day, as I was still struggling with my thesis at the time, so that's like a speedpaint for me since usually I take forever to finish anything :'D

"I was never good with paints."
Hahahaha. I appreciate the constant strive for improvement that can often only be borne from self-deprecation, but honestly? This is amazing. I am very much in agreement with
bacillus; the perspective has just the right degree of exaggeration that really brings it to life. It's just so striking!
