Diabolicus Mantis Mask
A custom mask project that I recently finished - an idolmantis diabolicus (devil's flower mantis) mask. The antennae are removable for easy storage/transport.
If you've never seen these amazing creatures (the actual mantises) go look them up - they are amazing!
I've got some other shots of this mask here: http://foxloft.com/artwork/masks/mantis

The face shield is made of multiple layers of see-through fabric which hides the wearer from sight but gives decent vision. It definitely sacrifices clear vision (like in a use-your-own-eyes mask) for the aesthetics, but you can see through it fine enough to see/function it in. :)
I've got a couple others up here: http://foxloft.com/artwork/masks I need to update it at some point, though :)

And its Idolomantis diabolica if anyones trying to search them up. They are one of the best looking mantids out there but such a pain in the ass to keep :P
Again awesome work though, really nailed it, chunky antennae of a male aswell :D

There's my most recent pics on the main page or galleries for each species i've kept in the past in the albums section. Never managed to get Idolomantis to adult myself, well had one female but she didnt have a good moult and ended up dying before her exotic colouration came in, they are sandy brown the rest of their life.
Havent really had my own scorpion yet but i kept whip scorpions, they were awesome :D
