Big Kahuna, so to speak. This is Whale. Might change the head-dress to a big tiki mask, not sure yet.
Fisk did the first sketch of him, on which this one is based. I'll see if I can get him to post his version. He teaches me stuff, so big thanks!

I can't wait to see Fisk's version, I rather like it when you two collaborate as your strengths really complement each others well.
I'm of the belief that there's nothing more valuable then good friends to help encourage and teach and learn with because the path of improvement is often difficult and discouraging no matter your skill level and you can't always get the breakthroughs you are seeking and it's times like that when it really helps to be able to get away from the rut you're in and spend some time focusing on fresh ideas.

A more direct question I'd like your input on which I've also asked Fisk about is how to really define my own style in this area. I've had my tribal otter character since before I was aware of either of your works and I really don't want to simply reproduce it. I have my own markings and designs many of which come from my own work as well as my love of the NW coast native artwork of the Tlingit and Nuu-chah-nulth which are regional to the areas I grew up in and love (Portland, OR and Seattle, WA, SE Alaska) but often times I find I find it difficult to really distinguish my Hahni otter tribe (which is really more coastal forest/jungle oriented then the seemingly pacific island influenced Lutrai). I'd love to hear what you can suggest.
