Nickname: None. Just 'David'. Not 'Dave' or 'Davey'.
Nickname he gets called out of earshot: 'Snoopy'
Achievements: As stated, best trumpet player in his grade.
Also 7th grade class secretary. Thought about running for class president, but secretary fit his tendency to be...organized.
Likes: Basketball, being bossy (in the words of some kids who aren't him), track & field, swimming, band...Can't remember the rest. It's a long list.
Dislikes: Sitting around doin' nuffin'.

Not really. The drummers did basic fills, but all solos were written on the page. Didn't get taught enough theory to improv till HS, and by then I was no longer doing jazz, focusing instead on wind ensemble and marching band. Still don't know how to improv, even on guitar or bass! Lol
He is the guy that directed Royal Tenenbaums, Fantastic Mr. Fox, etc...
Very selective of color palettes in film and your tonality reminded me of some of his work.
The background and quirkiness also reminded me of a few characters of Andersons.
