Here is the finale of the sketch I started back on June 14th. It’s taken me over a month of lunch breaks to finish. It’s finished, not perfect but finished enough for me. I’m happy with it mostly. :)It’s totally unlike anything I’ve been drawing for the past 2 years. It was a nice change of pace. But I think i will stick cell shading. XD
Done entirely on my surface pro in SAI and finished in Photoshop.

Yoooooo this piece is AMAZING! Love the way this drawing came out. Very different from the pieces you usually draw. Now where do I start? xD
This picture is so unique in it's ways because when it comes to detailed shading nobody really inks outside, and I think you pulled the inking off very well. I think it suits this particular picture
The anatomy is great. I admire it so much. (I love your cartoony style too! xP ♥ ) Anatomys are a pain in the ass and I saw throughout every social networking account the progress of it. It's not easy at all and I applaud that you gave it a HUGE EFFORT. I am loving her calves x'] and her curves are very defined.
I think that's all I can say! :O The only thing I can encourage you with when it comes to this particular shading is: Don't ever be afraid to go a little darker! :P My art teacher always told me that and I felt that it helped get me out of my bubble a little bit, heh. xD I hope it encourages you too!~
Very nice. I saw it last night but I honestly couldn't think of what to say other than "OMG DIS' IS AWESOME" because I feel that this picture deserves more than a comment like that. xP
I'm definitely looking forward to more pictures like these... and ERMAHGERD SUPER LONG COMMENT FROM CHO FINAWLLY X'D lolol~

You know, I think the shading all depends on the monitor. On the SP I thought it looked fine. On my Macbook it looks pretty good. Even my phone. But as I sit at my desktop I go shit it IS light. Stupid calibration differences. XD
I think there's 3 reasons why the anatomy looks good. 1) Sam looked it over and redlined it, 2) Because I took my time (only 45 minutes a day), I was able to step back and reevaluate it each day and 3) I've forced myself to draw cartoony for so long. Guess I should explain 3. I've studied so many images and had to learn to convert them into a different shape and different proportions that now, drawing normal stuff feels... easier. LOL
I debated on the outlining. The image itself has a dark gray outline of 1 point in all the vital points, it's barely noticeable, but there. The thicker black outlines and white glow came afterwards. (If you are using the light blue theme for FA you probably don't see the white glow). I wanted to add a glow to the picture but right against the thin lined image, it felt the glow was eating the image. So I added the black outlining which then has a white outline before the glow layer. Course this isn't very noticeable in this 1280px image. But it's much more noticeable at full size. XD
Thank you for taking the time to say something. It means a lot to me. Silence is evil. XD
