I finally have a pony OC! For her half of an art trade, Mixipony over on Deviantart designed a pony for me you can see here: http://i.imgur.com/GYOs1KK.png and then I went over and customized it more for me. I like the result, even if this was hastily thrown together, hah.

I've been trying FOREVER to think up a pony OC but I'm still stuck on name and cutiemark. I kind of want to use Starcharmer since that's already a name I use on a couple sites, but it's kinda...genericish? And there's already a couple pony OCs out there with that name if you search for them. Blah.
I ADORE this character, though. Her palette is my favorite and I love her concept, her face and eyes and markings and mane and just everything. So cute<3

Yeah, it's hard to think that stuff up on your own. It was easier on me when I had something to work on!
I dunno though, Starcharmer sounds fine to me. Or you could just tweak it a bit, like Starseeker or various other synonyms? I wouldn't not use something you like because it sounds generic! It's your character in the end~

I was considering other names like Sugar Star and variants of that, but I'm stumped on what his/her [haven't decided on a gender yet either] special talent should be. haha
The only things I really have nailed down are that my pony is a unicorn and I have a pretty solid color palette and design.

I was trying to stay away from obvious things like artistic talent, while still having the talent be something I know at least a bit about so I'm not blind when it comes to my pony's hobbies. XD Having good luck is a good idea, though. I haven't really considered any more abstract talents like that.
