At the bottom of the page there's a picture of an "Australian Red" Collie. (Not saying that I particularly chose that colour scheme, but it resembles her colour best. I just like the cream/white combination.)
Besides, lots of people take 'artistic liberty' with the colours they use for their characters :p
But in short; No, Sam is not a Rough Collie. :)
